RMS 64 Posted April 14, 2012 I had surgery on 4/10. My stitches are itching. Anyone else have this problem. If so what did you do? Sent from my iPhone using VST

Liberated Sleeve 148 Posted April 14, 2012 As long as the incisions are closing okay then you could put something on them. (Lotion? No perfumed kind though - might irritate them) I used Avon's Skin so Soft bath oil gel on mine and that helped. But, if they are not closing up yet ask your doctor for sure. jwelk 10 Posted April 14, 2012 I had this really really bad!!! The doctor gave me a steroid cream and it took it away fast.
Malyss 31 Posted April 14, 2012 Mine itched for probably 2-4wks after surgery. I just kept them clean and applied Neosporin about twice a day. It gets better once they heal.

JDHenin 165 Posted April 15, 2012 I have no stitches. I have 5 incisions and my surgeon used glue. I had surgery on the 9th and they aren't itchy at all. Wonder if they'll get itchy??

krissy20 27 Posted April 15, 2012 If they are itchng that means they are healing and just leave them alone maybe some hydrocortisone cream or neosporin but no lotion or anything else it's better that they stay dry !
