Anyone Have A Breast Lift/reduction Before Wls?

Recommended Posts

Question for women that have had a breast reduction/lift before wls or a large amount of weight loss: Did your boobs still keep its lifted shape?

Had it over 25 years ago. Was a B cup after the surgery, and was at a normal healthy weight. As I gained weight, I ended up in a DD cup, so the mere weight and years caused mild drooping. However, as I lose weight, I can plainly see that I will end up with big flat pancake boobs, and intend to have it redone after reaching goal.

From your photo you appear to be much younger than I am, so you may fare better.

I had a reduction from a 36I (Yes, I) to a 36C when I was 18, so...15 years ago. I was overweight then, and only alittle more overweight now, but they are currently a 38F. I lost weight before, about halfway to my goal, and they shrank to a 36D and looked awesome. I'm kinda afraind that the recent growth though will mean that when they go down again, they will go dowwwwwnnnnn... and down... and down. I'm hoping that when they are flat and saggy there will be enough tissue to justify another reduction/lift, so I can just have my natural breast tissue made into some nice Bs or something. I'm so sick of huge boobs...

I was thinking it might be easier to get approval for a reduction at this size, as opposed to later, but my major concern is will it still look perky when I lose weight. My boobies are 44 G/H and was thinking about reducing them to a DD cup. I dunno, because Id like to still have breasts when at goal which is at least 125 lbs away. Im sure it would make better sense to fix them later.

I would wait. With a chest as large as you have, you will most likely end up with enough left over tissue to get insurance to cover a reduction / lift after the loss. That's what I'm hoping happens for me, if mine don't survive. Of course, I'd rather mine just make it. LOL I think that you'd still have alot of sag though, even if you get it now.

I would wait also my sister was reduced from a 42F to I think a 40D and she is over weight and her size what she went down to was baised on Insurance approvale they would only approve her if sh was taken down to a C and she is a FULL C I think the Dr worked with her so that if she lost weight she wouldn't be flat.

I had a reduction 15 yrs ago from a 36E to a full C cup. I was 170 at that time, since then I had another baby (and was able to breastfeed) and gained weight up to 226. I am back down to 201 right now and to be honest, my breasts have not changed much in the last 15 yrs. I am 44 now and they are still high and full, lol. I have no idea what will happen when I get down to my goal of 140. That will new territory for me!

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Had a sleeve in 2017, lost over 100 pounds. Had a DS surgery this year (2025) for more sustainable weight loss. 🤞

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
