BrownDoesAll 409 Posted April 13, 2012 My journey has been awesome!. Sleeved in Nov 2011, so I'm 5 months out and have lost 65 pounds in total. Really happy about the inches, down 3 pant sizes. However. Its been really really slow since month 3. I watch the carbs, track my food intake, only eat protien and veggies during meals. At night I do eat a few crackers with cheese. Slow Losers UNITE!!. what is the secret to moving the scale faster?
Caradina 65 Posted April 13, 2012 I'm at the beginning of week 4... and I'veonly lost 13 lbs. The last two weeks have shown a GAIN of a pound a week. I'm doing everything right. I really think my metabolism is messed up. It's pretty heartbreaking.
coops 1,790 Posted April 13, 2012 Hey! I'm a slow loser too... I am not sure there is a magic formula that will get the scale moving faster - well, not for me anyway. BUT, a lot of others shake things up a bit and see great results. Try adding more carbs, cals - then lowering them... drink more Water and if are not exercising do some! If you are change what you are doing! Our bodies just get used to doing stuff and stay there... might work, certainly worth a try! Good luck =]
aroundhky 1,174 Posted April 13, 2012 "BrownDoesAll".... I had my surgery around the same time as you, it seems you are making good progress in your weight loss. You've lost more than I have. : ) Dropping too much weight too fast is bad for you. Slow and steady wins the race. But I do know how frustrating stalls can be and keeping that steady part is tricky. Just like "Coops" said, if you are in a stall, don't panic, they are typical, try changing things up a bit and fooling your body. Our bodies try and fight this weight loss tooth and nail, so we sometimes have to do things like changing carbs, cals and types of exercise to get the scale moving again. Hang in there and enjoy the ride!
