DinaMiller6450 20 Posted April 12, 2012 I haven't had surgery yet. I am doing doing the pre-op diet to loose weight before my real pre-op. I am trying to loose the 15-20 pounds reqired before surgery. I am aloud to have a lean cuisine for dinner.< /p> My question is, should I eat before I walk on the treadmill and if so, how long after I eat should I wait to walk? I have always wondered about this. Thanks for any helpful info.
Foxbins 625 Posted April 13, 2012 I have always found it better to exercise on an empty stomach and eat about an hour after. I might have something light beforehand, like yogurt, if I am going to be walking for an hour or more or running, but for a regular walk I like to go empty. Then I clean up, drink some Water, maybe change clothes, and fix something to eat. Sometimes the exercise kills most of my appetite so I eat less.
cassieh 136 Posted April 13, 2012 I have been sleeved and I walk right after I eat. I feel like it helps me digest my food better. It may just be in my head but thats what I like to do . Good luck
