chitowngirl 886 Posted April 12, 2012 So I'm just 2 weeks post op. I have a 13 year old son, he knows that I had surgery, but I was very general and did not tell him that it was WLS. I told him I had abdominal surgery. Well yesterday we were talking and he told me wow mom your really looking skinnier. I've lost 20 pounds and am excited. I feel like a 13 year old boy has even noticed my weight loss. That was the thing that has real. Loving my life... 1 rodswife reacted to this
Caradina 65 Posted April 12, 2012 LOL Because 13 year old boys notice nothing unless it has to do with them! LOL Congrats! This is an awesome NSV!
robindei 45 Posted April 12, 2012 I have a 15 year old and I really can't wait to hear that out of his mouth! He and his dad will be vacationing in LA 3 weeks after I've been sleeved, so we'll be scyping but they won't see all of me for 2 months! I am so psyched for this sleeve. Vicki0618 123 Posted April 12, 2012 AWESOME...coming from the mom of teenage boys!! If it's not food or directly related to THEM they don't notice. So if he noticed, you are definitely doing something right!! Congrats!

gramaof4 58 Posted April 12, 2012 Funny my 12 yr. old boy, keeps saying wow mom your feet have shrunk.....as my feet used to be swollen and look like fat swollen blocks on the end of my kankle...I can even wear my dress shoes now...and put my own socks on... So congrats to your compassionate and wonderful son for noticing such a huge milestone for you....
favoredone 590 Posted April 12, 2012 Congrats!!! I feel the same way when my students comment about how I'm getting smaller.. Granted, it's not happening very quickly, but it's happening.. and I'm grateful for that!!! 1 gramaof4 reacted to this
fell4falls 18 Posted April 12, 2012 I loved it when, a few weeks after surgery, my 12 year old son told me I seemed "narrow-er" (his word, not mine). It made me feel good because he is going through that pre-teen phase where he thinks he is too cool for me. It was nice that he noticed.
