Cmullinvegas 39 Posted April 12, 2012 What is with the hiccups? It will be like one or two sporadically.
Happy Camper 266 Posted April 12, 2012 Do you get them while you are eating or after? Seems to me I get a couple when I have either eaten too fast or maybe just a bit too much?
Cmullinvegas 39 Posted April 12, 2012 It can be after I eat or drink, maybe ten minutes later.
tinkerbell123 7 Posted April 12, 2012 I'm almost 7 weeks post-op & also get the hiccups when I'm getting full, my nose will also start running just a little. I've taken those signals to be the "stop eating" signs. What's really hard is to not drink Water when you have hiccups, force of habit I guess.

Rootman 1,101 Posted April 12, 2012 Yep, as others explained its usually your signal to STOP eating. I had them occasionally, very violent, very intense hiccups that actually made my back and arms ache they would hit so hard and I would tense so violently. If they are a major concern and really bothering you then see your doc as soon as you can, better safe than sorry.
SexySlim 107 Posted April 12, 2012 Wow, today I have been getting them as well and my nose is running. I'm gonna take that as my sign im full. They are annoying. lol \Wow this is to interesting. My nose was running uncontrollably yesterday. I had no idea it was a sign of fullness. I only had a few sips of broth though. Weird. I also get the hiccups, but it's just random at random times. Not when I'm eating. And it will only last about 2 minutes.
