Lissa 2,631 Posted May 21, 2012 I bought a Hamilton Beach freezer at wallyworld for $30 that works great for this. I had purchased one at the thrift store, but it was too hard for me to put together and my neighbor broke the top when he came over to help me out. Ssilian 67 Posted May 31, 2012 Well I finally picked up my Cuisinart Ice Cream maker and gave it a shot. Couldn't believe how easy it was! Made mint chocolate chip (using sugar free Andes mints chopped up). This ice cream was great and I felt full because it has Protein Powder in it. I was just doing a trial run before I get sleeved! I have the ninja and use it with the cookie dough blade to whip air into the mixture before I put it in the ice cream maker. using that blade almost triples in size the volume of the mixure so it makes the ice cream rich & creamy. Happy Camper 266 Posted June 3, 2012 Hi all, Seeking help. I purchased Cuisinart maker, tried eggface's recipe for pistachio Protein ice-cream but, honestly it was a mess. As soon as I poured the recipe it started to freeze to the sides of the bowl, there was minimum amount of beaters mixing it around and I could not get it loose to put it in a bowl. I was able to get a couple spoonfuls out is all....what the heck? Not sure what I did wrong. Had to leave it out and wash it down after couple hours sitting out.
