Concerns About Pain

Have surgery soon. How is the pain when you awake from surgery?

I didn't have any pain when I woke up from surgery, I was doped to the gills. It hurt to stand up the 2nd day but if I was bent over a little I wasn't in pain. The nurses will have meds to give you if you are hurting.

The pain wasn't that bad - it was the feeling horrible that was horrible!

I was maxed out on anti nasuea drugs and even though I never puked, I felt really awful immediately post op. The good news is that it passed really quickly and it wasn't too long before I was up and walking around.

No pain here either. I was really drugged up well and they were very good about keeping me pain free. If I asked I got it. They changed between 2 different meds so I could maintain.. I only needed pain meds the first day in the hospital by the next night I was of all pain meds completely. I was sore but it felt like a really hard work out. Don'[t worry about pain you will be fine.

I was also very nauseous it was pretty bad and I was sick a few times but once I figured it was the pain meds they changed them and I was much much better

I walked something like 8 miles while I was still in the hospital. The pain was not bad to me at all.
