Ok for the last few days I've been nibbling and grazing. I have been requesting family member to remove food from my sight. I'm realizing that my food addiction is truly mental. Can anyone relate or give advice thanks!!

You did the first best thing logged into VST! :)

Eat some Protein, dense then you will be too full to graze. I know the grazing trap so easy..Unfortunately we have to live a a world full of food. I also chew gum, some people say it makes you hungry but it helps me do something with my mouth (I also blow big bubbles..entertaining to myself). You are doing great !

Plan what to eat and eat what you plan!!!!

Best to you.

I can totally relate. Just yesterday I wanted to nibble so badly even though I wasn't hungry. I was able to get myself up and out of the house and took a long walk. It helped get my mind off of food.< /span>

I'm having the same problem, not on very bad things but as the cook, I have been tasting. I think is more to see what I can tolerate. I have to stop testing my sleeve.

I graze but all good food bite of chicken, piece of cheese, piece of lunch meat, or egg. I eat 6 times a day but very little at a time

I also graze but on healthy food. For example at work I may nibble on my lunch for a couple of hours. Not sure if this is good but it seems to be working for me. I can only eat small amounts and hate the feeling of being full so I eat a, little at a time. cheese seems to be my favorite.

I too am starving. I never realized how addicted to food I am until it was taken away. Today am on day thirteen. Easter morning no candy from the baskets, no great and yummy Easter dinner, but it is so worth it. I am having surgery Tuesday by Dr.Kim in Dallas. I would hate to lose my hard earned money because I cheated. So it is normal to crave all the foods around us, but be strong it will be your turn soon.

OMG I've been grazing alot. If I see it I will eat it. When it's time to eat I need to eat or if I'm late, I will eat too much. I'm not sure if it's in my head or I'm hungry. Greeter! Frustrating

Just last night I realized the same thing! I justify my grazing by making good choices!!!

i think i graze more now than before the sleeve but i realized its attributed to my meal choices if i had meals rich in Protein i tend to graze less.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
