gentlespirit 1 Posted August 18, 2006 I went in to my gyn yesterday for my annual (more like 16 months!) pap and exam, and he was SO pleased for me that I'm losing. He's a sweetie, although he did get a funny look on his face when he was palpating my abdomen and felt this lump! I said, "Are you feeling my port?" and then he laughed and said he didn't realize the port was so close to the surface...he thought they put it deeper. He's been so supportive and was thrilled with my almost 40 pounds gone. We have the right to shop for doctors just like we shop for other things...it's an important relationship and we deserve one who will be positive about our efforts and not critical. jgandg 0 Posted August 18, 2006 Congratulations on your amazing weight loss! I think that no matter what your doctor's intentions are, if you do not feel comfortable with her, then it's time to find a new doctor.
bibytz 0 Posted August 19, 2006 Hi Lapbandit, Just Imagine How Frustrated The Doc. Will Be Next Time When You Are "thinner" Than Her. What An Unprofessional Person. But Unfortunately There Are A Lot Of Incompetent Around As Mediocrity Gets More And More Tolerated Everywhere. So, Forget The B**ch, You Are Worth Too Much For That. Keep Up The Great Work And Remember That At The End You Are The Only One Enjoying Daily Victories At There True Value. I Wish You Can Find A Pcp Like Mine. He Had A Lap Band Surgery Done On Himself 4 Years Ago And He Is The One Who Told Me About The Band To Begin With. Good Luck And Ciao...
