Thanks everyone!!!!!!!!!!!

I am so happy I cannot even tell you. To be honest the weight loss has been quite effortless-- I do work as a nurse and get physical activity that way-- and walk at the mall a few days a week-- thats it. Also I feel like my higher calorie point has helped me a lot too. I eat 1200-1600 cals a day and I have since 2.5 months. I have NO LOOSE SKIN... a few wrinkles on my stomach. I am very lucky!! The higher cals have helped me keep my metabolism up i think. I eat a lot of Chipotle burrito bowls with steak and black Beans. They last 4-6 meals. :-)

Yes, you look fantastic! I'm a nurse too. Hope I don't get all the loose skin either. Do you think the higher calories helped with the skin issue?

Also, I love Chipotle and will keep them in mind when I can eat real food again. Thanks.

That is amazing success in 8 months. Truly inspirational and hearing you eat 1200-1600 ?? WOw. You always hear everyone say they ate low carb & low cal. So refreshing. Good job!

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
