mrsteacher 7 Posted April 7, 2012 I got sleeved by Dr. Kelly on the 28th and he doesn't recommend adding Protein in until day 10. I'm on day 10 right now and added a Protein Drink to my routine along with all the Clear liquids. However, I've noticed different advice from different doctors on this forum so I guess whatever your doctor recommends.

mnbsleeve 87 Posted April 7, 2012 Me too! I was given Protein Drinks hours after surgery. Also, sugar free popsicles, Jello and of course, Water. But like mrsteacher said above, different doctors give different instructions. So my bias is to always check with my surgeon before doing anything different. It is really interesing to me to read what others are doing. It's good to get ideas to take to your own doctor should things not be going as smoothly. Wheetsin 714 Posted April 7, 2012 If you want your Protein drinks, and can have them, embrace it. You're in a special minority. I was able to have Protein Drinks on day 3. Wanting them as another story. I find myself not really wanting to eat or drink anything. I feel full all the time. I'm making myself do it, and I used to enjoy my Protein drinks (with previous lapband surgery). I think the difference is being able to drink them normally vs. knowing I'm going to be sucking on the same Protein Drink ALL day long. It'll get better. food will be enjoyable, eventually!
