Does Anyone Now Cry Because Of Their Decision?

Recommended Posts

I hear osteperosis can be an issue..does anyone regret their sleeve? Would like to hear from folks that have had their sleeve for a while..maybe more than 2 yrs.

Osteoporosis shouldn't be an issue unless you have severe reflux and end up on PPIs for the rest of your life.

Osteoporosis is more common for the RNY, I don't think is common with the sleeve. Plus we are required to take Calcium with Vitamin D for life :)

Being obese for seven years has put me as risk for osteoporosis, heart desease, high blood pressure, cancer, stroke...while I cannot say I am totally comfortable with my choice right now at three am, unable to sleep. I can say that driving a car is risky and being obese for years on end is risky. I am actually finding more difficulty in contemplating how my adjustment to "the sleeved life" (for the rest of my life) will go then the risk involved with SG as I do recognize the risk that my "present condition" carries. One way or another I must lose this 85 lbs in order to reduce my health risks.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
