Sleeved On Monday And Started Running A Fever Last Night! Should I Be Alarmed?

Recommended Posts

I was sleeved on Monday all has went normal and I had a very good day yesterday I got out and about with my husband but crashed about 4 o'clock in the afternoon then started running a fever but it was gone when I got up this morning... Is this normal or should I be alarmed?? I also feel like I've been run over by a Mac truck today...

Hello Lukergirl, welcome to VST!! And of course Welcome to the Losers Bench!!

I do advise you to please call your Surgeon ASAP. Running a fever is definitely not something to take lightly after any kind of surgery. I do pray everything is fine however.

Please check in and let us know how you're doing!

I spoke with my dr today and he is concerned but just wants to monitor my temp and as l long as it isn't persistent he said I should be fine... I think it's just the trauma my body has endured an I think I over done it yesterday. Thanks for the feed back just hoping my temp stays down ;)

I was sleeved on 4/2, a Monday and came home on wed. I took a nap at home and woke up with 100.6 fever. Call doc right away! He told me to take liquid tylenol and fever went away. I had a fever thurs (100.8) and fri (100.6) too. Called doctor again on Friday. He said to continue with liquid tylenol. It really isn't considered a fever until it is 101.0...is what my doctor said. Hopefully today I will not have one! And just for fun, I will throw out that I have lost 15 lbs. in 6 days! Woot!
