brookeco 37 Posted April 6, 2012 I'm the type of person that only goes to the doctor if I'm extremely sick which I know is stupid but I'm just being honest. To be approved for the sleeve by my insurance I have to get all these test done and wait 6 months and so far I'm almost done with everything and I'm starting to get the results back and I'm learning that I'm a lot worse off than I thought I was. I found out I have high blood pressure and rheumatoid arthritis and acid reflux and I'm two inches shorter then i always thought I was. 5'3 not 5'5! Haha I'm afraid of what else I'm going to find out. And I'm only in month 2 of 6 Sent from my iPhone
Misstxdiva 73 Posted April 6, 2012 I know the feeling! I just finished my 6 months and having surgery on 4/10. I found out I had all the stuff the doctor said I would when I was 21 and didn't listen now it's catching up to me at age 25. I don't look at it as a bad thing. Look at it as a good thing, you know what you have and learn how to fix it whether it be with medication or losing weight. This can also help with co-morbids too if your insurance requires you have at least one to have approval. The next 4 months will go by fast and before you know it you'll be on your way to approval and surgery. Good luck on your journey.
