Tonyswifey 9 Posted April 6, 2012 I'm a little nervous but still excited to get this ball rolling what do u discuss in your first visit?
Misstxdiva 73 Posted April 6, 2012 Congrats on taking the first step with the appointment. Usually the surgeon talks to you about surgery and asks which one you would like to do (if you haven't specified already), makes recommendations, answers questions. Then usually the insurance person comes in and talks to you about what the surgeon requires of you and what the insurance requires. And sometimes they may have you meet with the nutritionist on the same day depending on how your office does things. 1 littlebits reacted to this

littlebits 154 Posted April 11, 2012 My experience was very similar to Misstxdiva. I met with the NUT a week later, but everything else was the same. Good luck!!! Little bits
twoboysandagirl 109 Posted April 11, 2012 My first surgeon appointment was more of a chance for me to prove to the surgeon that I was a good candidate for WLS. They asked me lots of questions about past weight lost attempts, took measurements, health history of me and my family, even talked about support and changes this would have on my kids and husband. I had to meet their critera before he would procced. Hope that helps...it wasnt stressful because I just talked about myself.
