Okay Cloe....what IS that anyways? Is it just me or are they bunny ears on top of something (ya, I'm half blind and don't know how to make your avatar bigger to have a better look)!!!!

Argon: obviously yours is a self portrait!

hehe

I say it's a dog..a grey-ish spaniel type... and someone's holding the ears on while the picture's being taken. (eek! I hope it's not a person! I can't see that well! )

Ha! I couldn't figure out how to post a picture, so I just changed it.

It is my FAT gray 10 year old cat named "Dolly". :cat:

That picture came about because Dan had sent me THIS picture from work, of a little statue that they have in the office:

(so I made a little hat, and posed Kobe!)

Yes.... he is a plump kitty :) I had him on some diet food before I left, so I hope my parents are keeping up with that. (yeah, they're keeping him for me. I don't think they would have LET me take him, they love him too much)

When I first found him, almost 8 years ago ..(geesh, I was gonna say 3, cause I coulda sworn it was only that long ago!) we thought he was a SHE, and was pregnant, and named her/him Chloe! Then I brought her to the vet to find out what was goin' on with her, and to get shots and all that, to discover she was a he, and already neutered! So, he's been volumptuous since I got him, but he's quite a bit bigger now. ... and Chloe was renamed Kobe.

Oh, don't even get me started talking about my cats! I carry a picture of him in my wallet! LOL

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
