Tattoodmom 6 Posted April 2, 2012 I am in my 3rd week and I have hit the stall you all speak of. I am very upset. Any words of wisdom to help me over this bump?
Lissa 2,631 Posted April 2, 2012 Stick to your plan and be patient. Look for the NSVs and make sure you are taking your measurements. I lost my first size while I was in my first stall. Good luck!!
daniellec 10 Posted April 2, 2012 I am 5 days now post-op and haven't lost not one pound! FRUSTRATING and not rewarding right now
Caradina 65 Posted April 2, 2012 I'm 11 days out. I lost 10 lbs in the first 3 days out the gate, and then nothing since. Very disheartening to be in a stall in week 2... I hate my sluggish metabolism. I know it'll come eventually, but I did not expect to stall out so quickly! I'm still on liquids!
BigToeVSG 12 Posted April 2, 2012 As I am sure you have heard before, try not to weigh but once a week. Also, remember your body is going through some major changes where your weight, healing body and Water levels will be all over the place. Be patient and you will be kicking arse in no time. TheSkinnyCow73 72 Posted April 2, 2012 Remember... this too shall pass! I hit the same frustrating stall and it broke, finally! I was stuck at 201-ish but my clothes were fitting nicer and my face was slimming down. Did I care? NO! Because that dang scale wasnt moving! I have to keep reminding myself that the scale numbers DO NOT DEFINE ME OR MY SUCCESS! Keep reading the boards and try to understand what your body is going through. I started looking at my body as another person (weird, i know) but it helped me put into perspective what is going on and why things are happening the way they are. Maybe walk a little farther than normal and see if that helps? Yesterday, I mowed the grass (front and back), planted some flowers, walked the dogs and you know what? Upping my excercise that little bit showed on the scale this morning by 3 lbs! Keep Rockin' that Sleeve! This too shall pass!!!! p.s. - read this post.... http://www.verticalsleevetalk.com/topic/34565-embrace-your-stall-and-enjoy-your-successinches-will-equal-lbs/
