Anjelika 14 Posted April 5, 2012 I am working on just moving in general. I bursts of energy but then I get a bit lightheaded and slightly winded and need to sit a while then I get back up and do stuff and get in 30 min walk a day....It's hit or miss I think. I am 8 days post op It's sounds like there will be better days ahead. I guess taking it easy in the beginning would be best?
daniellec 10 Posted April 6, 2012 Yes I would say so. Now today is day 9 and I have a LOT more energy ! What a difference each day makes. Listen to your body...it will push back !!! 1 Anjelika reacted to this
Globetrotter 1,340 Posted April 6, 2012 My energy levels are directly tied to my caloric intake. I am 20 months out and I recently tried to eat like a post-op, 600 cals <30g carbs and I felt horrible, heart palpatations and could barely blink I was so exhausted. 1200 calories and I am bouncing along a 2 mile run, followed by and hour and 15 minutes of intense yoga, followed by an hour of tango, and I feel awesome! 1 Anjelika reacted to this
nikki264 6 Posted April 6, 2012 I am 5 weeks out today and completely exhausted! This was my first week back to work though. I was incredibly shaky and faint earlier in the week, and realized it was because I was too low in calories, sugar, and carbs...been working at upping those and am starting to feel better, but I am so glad that it is Friday, and I can get some rest this weekend! Hoping this passes soon!

mrsbrown0330 9 Posted April 6, 2012 I had my surgery a week ago today and I haven't walked (outside) since Monday. I have ABSOLUTELY NO ENERGY.
PonyUp 24 Posted April 6, 2012 I will initially be "walking my horse" for exercise, since he needs it too. I am on the countdown to being sleeved... 1 Anjelika reacted to this
Dania621 9 Posted April 7, 2012 I had my surgery on January 23rd and I have my days where I'm absolutely exhausted and other days where I can swim laps for 45 minutes. I'm still rather low on energy. I think it has to do with my diet. I really don't get too many carbs in at all. I'm all about the Protein at the moment. I'm hoping my energy will increase...I want to start rollerblading and Spin classes. 1 Anjelika reacted to this
