njs_star627 19 Posted April 2, 2012 I know everyones journey is different, but I'm just curious. How are the mid 20 sleevers progressing? I hear you loose quicker when your younger... I'm 25 and currently at 307lbs (after diet for insurance and before liquid diet). Do the masses have loose skin? how quickly are you coming down? 1 D1NOnlySexyLady reacted to this

MoonSiren 48 Posted April 2, 2012 I'm 30 and my skin is stretching back slowly but surely. My stomach looks flat and my arms are thin except for a flap of hanging skin. It has gotten shorter, though.
njs_star627 19 Posted April 2, 2012 I hope I have such luck. I have gained so much weight I have the slight hanging pouch. Have hopes I can shape it up without plastic surgery
teamthin 7 Posted April 2, 2012 I believe you lose quicker the more weight you have to lose. As for age I think it may benefit the skin. But I haven't been sleeved long and I don't have as much to lose so it feels like things are going very slow to me. I'm looking forward to hearing from others too. Kathryn 0 Posted April 2, 2012 I'm 25, at 230 pounds right now. Having my first nutrition meeting this week, I hope someone has an encouraging thing to say about the skin. Then again, no one will see me naked except for my husband. I also have a large pouch in front of me...no kids, its a genetic thing in my family.
Leederz 49 Posted April 2, 2012 I'm 24 and so far I've lost 60 lbs. about 25 since my surgery 3-1. I've been doing toning and moisturizing my skin with Shea Vitamin e and all that but already I can tell like under my arms my skin is a little saggy. It will probably get a little worse with time but I intend to tone the heck out of my body and try and gain lean muscle to make up for it.

I started at 246 and I'm at 223 so 24 more pounds and I will be under 200....can't freaking wait!
TrumpetTinklers 196 Posted April 2, 2012 I'm 22 years old & @ 271.2. I don't know what my pre-surgery diet weight will be (weigh in on Tues) - and I get surgery on Tuesday, April 3rd!!
Remo 4 Posted April 2, 2012 I'm 24 and I've lost 10 pounds in six days from my surgery. (Surgery weight: 356) I'm looking forward to this speedy pace, though I know that it will slow down pretty soon.
njs_star627 19 Posted April 2, 2012 Congrats to all you guys coming down pretty quickly. Teamthin I agree with that the more you have to loose the faster. Let's just hope I have the same advances. I wanna be an ultimate goal of 175lbs. And I don't want people to think I am having surgery just for my looks purposes, of course my health is a huge factor. BUT do not wanna have hanging loose skin and look like I've had surgery... You know?
tautry 95 Posted April 2, 2012 Good luck to you all! I will be two weeks on Thursday, surgery on 3/22 and I am already down from 234 to 219. I am 48 years old, so I hope my skin will bounce back some. Don't get on the scale too often, maybe just once a week. I'm doing great, but my advice 1. Find a protien powder you like. I love Unjury esp the chocolate splendor, chicken Soup & the cheese. 2. Buy a good insulated cup and keep it full a cold beverage. Sip, sip, sip all day long. Hydration is so important to your recovery. I make crystal light & add a protien flavor shot. It's not moch, but every bit helps. I don't care for the flavor shots by themselves. Keep in touch & ask anyone if you have questions.
