Amanda 3.0 140 Posted April 1, 2012 What are you drinking/ingesting? Check sugar grams? Sugar is the only thing I've really reacted to. You'll be glad to figure out what's causing it, good luck!
luvrkb 34 Posted April 1, 2012 I didn't think you get dumping with the sleeve. Did ur surgeon think this was ok?
realwmnhavcurvs 5 Posted April 1, 2012 Nothing unusual, I started drinking coffee the doctor said it was ok as long as I used a non dairy Creamer, I used a non dairy creamer French vanilla maybe that's it..ugh

realwmnhavcurvs 5 Posted April 1, 2012 I just read somewhere that sleevers should not get dumping syndrome, I will have to speak w my doctor for sure..
realwmnhavcurvs 5 Posted April 1, 2012 Ok I just checked on the mayo clinic website and it specifically states that there's a small chance that dumping syndrome can occur

realwmnhavcurvs 5 Posted April 1, 2012 You don't wanna know, have you ever had the stomach virus.. Cramping, nausea, diarrhea, bloating...everything you get w a stomac virus minus the fever
Seannie 42 Posted April 1, 2012 Yes, I have to agree - you don't want to know It's nausea, shakes, cramping... yuck!! @realwmn - I definitely think it's going to be a process of elimination. As an example, I had an powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury chocolate splendor shake with almond milk. I am allergic to traditional milk, but prior to surgery I had no problems with almond milk. Well ........... lemme tell you ........ those 2 did not mix well for me! Not more than 30 minutes later I was in the bathroom like WTH??????????? So, I have to figure out is it the milk or is it Unjury? or is it the 2 combined?? Of course whenever this has happened (maybe 2 or 3 times since surgery) I'm almost always afraid to eat for fear of being back in the bathroom... Even talking about it gives me the willies....... Back to my safety zone which is herbal tea, and SF Popsicles...
realwmnhavcurvs 5 Posted April 1, 2012 Seannie, I just started Protein Shakes yesterday, that maybe it as well.. Ugh I'm very nervous drinking herbal tea and Water until I figure this one out.. Glad someone understands what I'm going thru.. Thanks
chitowngirl 886 Posted April 1, 2012 My nut has said to never try more than one new food a day, so if u have a bad reaction it is pretty easy to tell what have you the reaction.
Amanda 3.0 140 Posted April 1, 2012 Add new things slowly so you can isolate the culprit. How many grams of sugar are in that non-dairy creamer? In my coffee, I add some Muscle Milk chocolate. My dumping came from a Protein shake that had something like 29 grams of sugar per serving. Ouch! Why didn't I read the label? Lesson learned though.
realwmnhavcurvs 5 Posted April 1, 2012 The non dairy creamer has 5 grams of sugar but I'm gonna take everyone's advice and introduce things one at a time.
JimmyGotSLEEVED 270 Posted April 1, 2012 U get dumping syndrome with all wls... Some more severe than others... When that occurs it usually because of increased sugar intake. My suggestion go back on Clear liquids and sample other times of Protein flavors... Mix with Water not milk also... Hope that helps!!!
