Post Op Info, Follow Up Care, Etc For Mexico Surgeries/surgeons

So a question I'd like to pose to the boards....

We are all looking to find the right doctor for ourselves. The best piece of advice I have been given is to make sure you are not "booted out the door" after surgery, meaning you get a good surgery but no follow up - sparse information on diet, little communication post op, etc etc.

I'd like to hear other's experiences post op as well as what some of you feel about this pre-op. I don't want someone to hand me a few copies of some diet and then send me home without explicit instructions. None of us should be relying on a message board for our post op info! (even tho this board is fantastic!!!)
