I've been looking forward to this day. I was so glad to get off liquids. However, today was horrible. I started drinking Water and vomited (1st time that happened). Tried some canned pears in light syrup....felt like all 3 bites just collected in the back of my throat. I fought hard not to vomit it up. I tried eggs and Beans and they too collected in my throat...it's like that just get stuck. Any suggestions or ideas. Oh yeah and my mouth keeps watering. Please tell me how to correct this. I'm 3 weeks post.

I'd be putting that stuff in the blender. Sounds a little much for you yet, texture-wise.

Naaahhhh you'll get there. Don't worry. You only have one chance to heal. Do it right! Don't push yourself. The time flies by and you'll be chewing away before you know it! :)

Agree with Dooter. Baby steps .. and you'll get there when you get there .. no rush :)

Good luck !

Your mouth watering is the classic symptom of the slimes. For me, it means that I've eaten too much, too fast. The key with trying new foods is to introduce a small amount of one food at a time, chew very well, then see how it sits in your sleeve. If something doesn't sit well, wait for a while to try to introduce it again. Soon, like Dooter says, you'll be eating anything you like! :)

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
