missivory1980 7 Posted March 31, 2012 My surgery was 5 days out and the only thing I can eat is 2 crackers with a real tiny tiny bit of Peanut Butter is that bad for me? I can drink but not able to get any Protein
aliandrews 98 Posted March 31, 2012 My first 2 weeks was Clear Liquids only, then full liquids. After that soft foods, then solid. Did you surgeon or Nut give you a plan of what you should do? Peanut Butter and crackers seems a little much to me.
Lissa 2,631 Posted March 31, 2012 Wow, crackers this early? I hope that's approved by your doctor, but I'd be surprised if it is! This early you should be concentrating on your liquids. The more solid stuff will come in time, but you must get the liquids in or risk becoming dehydrated. It's a huge deal if you get dehydrated, so please concentrate on the liquids for the next few days. Maybe call your doc or nut and ask them for more specific eating guidelines if you're confused about what you should be having? Good luck!!
IowaAndy 95 Posted March 31, 2012 I agree.....the first week for me was all liquids and Jello. I did not have any crackers for about 2 months. I am also wondering if you did not get a diet plan from your surgeon or your NUT.
