I don't even have anything scheduled yet and am super excited! Guess I'm crazy! Lol! I have my FAA approved liquids and makeup packed. My passport with my stuff. 3 loose maxi dresses. I cute maxi dress to wear on the way there. And just ordered a carrying luggage 2pc set from target website. Yeah...I'm excited!!!

I'm the total opposite, I'm all scheduled and ready to go in June and all I've done to prepare is take time of of work...I'm such a slacker!

Oh and yes that was in putting our feet in the ocean on their facebook! I'm in pink and Michele in the tan sweater. Omar said it should not show up on our walls to like or make comment because they are just a public Facebook, you don't friend them or something like that. :)

hahaha, goofycathy! We only knew a month or less in advance. I bought a few things the week before and packed 2 days ahead. MGM, you are funny...you are already and don't have a date. You should see if you can get a date that someone else does on here. It was fun meeting NurseMichele from here.

MGM, you are too funny! I have surgery on May 10th & still not organized! I do have a mini list of what I need to bring, but haven't packed anything yet! In fact I need to check if I have a carry-on bag big enough to pack all my stuff in!

I hardly packed much because I wanted to make sure there was room for a pillow I brought that took 1/2 my carry on suitcase. I was surprised on light I've packed, best time ever. lol

I also took a heating pad I never used but you never know if you get those gas pains in the left shoulder. It'll be warmer for you all also, it really was chilly there and I'm from Washington state where it is chilly a lot.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
