So I had posted the other day that I was depressed. I still am having those down feelings but I think it's coming from extreme lack of energy. I take my Vitamins and drink plenty of Water. I called my doctors office and left a message. But all I have energy for is sleeping. Any one else felt like this?

Sorry your not feeling your self.. How Lon ago was your surgery? A friend of mine who also had the surgery had the same issues. She had no energy in the first few weeks N cried all the time. I'm sure it's all normal and justa phase since your Body is going thee some stress. Hope this helps alittle and hope you feel better soon. :)

I assume you are back to work by now, maybe your body is just trying to catch up with all the changes? No chance of pregnancy right??

Possibly low on Iron, etc. Let us know what your doctor says!! Hope you feel better soon and if you need to rest, do it. :)

I take Iron chewable. I shouldn't be pregnant because I had an IUD placed. I have been spotting on and off because of my period deciding to regulate. I will let you guys know. I want labs taken tomorrow, will ask when I get call from doctors office tomorrow.

Yea back at work.

You are most likely exhausted due to the low intake of calories. This is the time to rest as much as you can and make sure you get a lot of Protein in. Hang in there, it gets better. ;) You might also need a little more carbs in your diet.

I know how you feel. I had my surgery on 3/15 and am completely exhausted all the time. So much so that I feel foggy and lightheaded. I'm supposed to start full liquids today so I hope that helps. I'm definitely getting enough fluids in me so I don't know what's going on.

Just spoke with my doctors office. She said to up my calories. Especially since I am back at work (constantly on my feet) and going to gym 3 times a week with a trainer ( I did miss 2 sessions this week cause I was dead tired) I think I am going to up my calories a bit and do gym 2 times a week for a while and see how I feel.

Do you take B12? i get a shot once a month and it makes me feel wonderful! Maybe try that? most docs will just give you a shot in the office.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
