ShapeShifter 64 Posted March 29, 2012 Hi Missivory! I am pre-op, but have done a lot of reading. I have read that doing your best to consume your fluids, walking as much as you can to help the gas escape (without hurting yourself), can help... and also, that sometimes reflux medication or gasX can help with nausea. I hope you start feeling better soon!
kimmy*custis 276 Posted March 29, 2012 Yes, what is bothering you? I was home one day after surgery and I was just tired, no gas, no real pain. I sipped my Water, took my liquid vicodin ( might as well not feel any pain right?) and walked the house and slept alot.
almillsaps 1 Posted March 29, 2012 I was sleeved on 3/27 also. Had some major nausea but not much pain. They decided to keep me an extra day to give me some different nausea medicine . Right after surgery I threw up (sorry if TMI) a little bit of blood. And over Tuesday and Wednesday a total of 3 times. Finally after a late nap yesterday evening I woke up and was feeling way better. I could not use the pain pump because that seemed to make the nausea worse. They let me come home this morning 3/29. Hope you feel better soon.
