ad8 3 Posted September 26, 2015 I am 6 weeks post surgery and I have NO appetite at all. I find it very hard to eat anything. I can get down a few Soups that are broth, a tiny bit of yogurt and that's about it. I do force myself to drink my Protein, so I am doing that. Is this normal? It seems that everything I used to like, I can' t even think about eating anymore.
bibleajosc 10 Posted October 4, 2015 Hello I was sleeved Aug 24th and going through the same thing. The burning and pain usually hits me late in the evening when Im sleep but yesterday it hit me in the middle of the day and lasted throughout the night such a horrible feeling. I took a teaspoon of mustard which helped subside the burning feeling a little. My nurse recommended Nexium for now until I have my post f/u this Wednesday. I will definitely pick up some today. Did this get better? I had my sleeve on 9/28 and I'm experiencing the same thing. Nothing seems to be helping.

Jeaninew 0 Posted October 24, 2015 I've had lap-band surgery but have had difficulties. I ended up having all of the Fluid taken out. No more issues but I have gained most of the 109 lbs that I lost back. I am considering the sleeve but I'm concerned that i may have problems with reflux. Has anyone else had the lap-band and then opted for the sleeve?

Kathleen568 1 Posted November 8, 2015 I don't know if this has been asked before, but I'm just about 4 weeks post sleeve surgery, and I've been freezing since I got home from the hospital. I find that I need to be about 5-10 degrees warmer than I was before my surgery. Is anyone else experiencing this strange phenomenon? Am I missing some nutrient -- is that why I'm so cold all the time? Thanks!!
tcrehm 101 Posted November 8, 2015 @@Kathleen568 My NUT said that is normal because we are eating such low amount of calories per day.

heidikate 49 Posted November 24, 2015 Why would u do blood thinning before a surgery?
cindi gant 101 Posted November 30, 2015 Sounds like you are right on track. In those first days I could not even finish a small sugar free Jello. I could make 2 or 3 meals out of it. You will be able to eat a little more as time goes on. Eat very slow. Chew 30 times. Put down your fork between bites. Be sure you are not drinking and eating at the same time. cindi gant 101 Posted December 1, 2015 I know several ppl that have gone from band to sleeve. If you have acid reflux or gerd be sure to discuss this with your surgeon. The sleeve is generally not recommended for ppl with acid reflux. RNY or DS may be a better choice for you.

tcrehm 101 Posted December 19, 2015 Yes you can count any liquid (even your Protein shakes) as part of your daily liquids but stay away from too much caffeine as that is dehydrating. I have become rather fond of herbal teas since my surgery and only drink caffeinated tea about once or twice a month.
