Sorry if this has been asked - but does everyone have drains after surgery? Or is it case by case like the leak test?

It's up to the surgeon--some use them for everyone, some don't. I had one and it was no big deal.

My doctor stated I won't be having one...like Foxbins said I guess it all depends on the doctor.

Drains are optional and all depend on your surgeon. I was glad to not have them. One less thing to worry about post-op.
