I've been working out practically my whole life.

hi Stronger_Diva

What i never understood about "people like you" i get that you use to eat a lot (didn't we all) but excersizing all your life, shouldn't that have helped you maintain a better shape/figure and all around appearance?

never excercised before, therefore my weight just "sat" there, but since you worked out too, it must have helped how you look, good, and how you felt.

i also always wondered how a person with a higher weight can excercise. At 235, well, i could do some machines and stuff, but never stuff like you probably did. I just felt too big.

Oh LilMissDiva..Stronger Diva...Diva with a Rockin Bod

WE are NOT WORTHY! Seriously! You and Lilliana Arleen are my sleeve idols LOL. Well God first, then you guys of course hehe.

I just downloaded your doc and I'm going to look at it when I'm feeling unmotivated or down. I have been doing Turbo Jam and Taebo since surgery and there are some days where I just don't wanna do it! Just want to lay around on the couch and say to myself "Oh I can barely eat enough calories, how in the world am i going to have enough energy to work out?"

Well screw that! On those days I'm just going to look at this word doc and remember that dedication and "P's and Q's" are going to get me there! And as for the C's, I'll avoid them as best I can! We all have bad days. We just gotta get up, scrape ourselves off, and move on!

Thank you for being such a DIVA!!!

Kathy... no. That is a huge misconception people have, I worked out to the best of my ability, but no that did not keep me from gaining all that weight. Eating too much and way too high calorie foods did. So you see, now that I have my food issues under control I am now at goal, fitter than I ever have been... and happier too. :) Good luck with your journey.

Hi there S&H! Listen you ARE worthy! Okay? I think perhaps we all have spent way too much of ourselves thinking that is true. :) So there, you ARE!! Keep pushing no matter what. If you fall, just get back up. Like when we were kids learning to ride a bike. Something in us kept making us want to keep trying... well that's us as adults now. Except now we are trying to save our lives. It's a lot of work! I won't lie - I didn't get these results by doing nothing. I work out and I work out hard. You probably already know that, I gather... lol :)

Are you on MFP? Sometimes its hard for me to distinguish the user names here and there.

Keep working hard! You've definitely got it in you, I can tell.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
