SusieQs 4 Posted March 27, 2012 Going in tomorrow morning. I'm not sure how I'm feeling. I'm not excited, but that doesn't bother me. It's something that I know needs to be done. I'm a realist. Could go well, could have a lot of difficulties for weeks or months. I do have some nagging second thoughts about having the majority of my stomach permanently removed, but I turn 40 this year and enough time has gone by already. I know this is what I have to do. I'm not focusing on the future joy as I'm afraid it can cause me some depression if things are difficult at first. Just trying to take one day and one hurdle at a time and reminding myself that "this too shall pass". My nerves are on the rise now that surgery is in the morning and I'm getting irritable (that's apparently how my nerves show up). *I could really use your prayers, if you are willing.* Thanks guys. <
Carly 56 Posted March 27, 2012 Hey Susie, I can totally relate to your feelings. I am being guardedly hopeful. My surgery is in 4 days, and it feels as if it is looming. Best wishes and prayers to you. Please let us hear from you as soon as you are able!

Liberated Sleeve 148 Posted March 28, 2012 Congrats on your surgery tomorrow! Prayers are going up that God will guide your surgeons hands and instruments and you will be recovering so well that you will ask the same question I do...."Am I a placebo patient? Did you really do the sleeve on me?" The only reason I know for sure they did sleeve me is because I am not hungry at all and I can only eat small amounts when I do eat!
