betterthanbefore 19 Posted March 27, 2012 So when i was 19..i got lipo..and i guess i did not take care of myself because after my children i gained weight. The issue was that i gained it all in mu butt and legs...i cant seem to figure out if that was a good thing or not. I am 5' 4" and 207. I am so tired of being fat. I have a pool i haven't even been in because i do not feel comfy in a bathing suit. I have finally decided to get this done. I am doing my pre surgery tests..but soooo scared. I am wondering weather i want to go to the extreme of cutting my stomach. I have a very demanding job and requires lots of energy. How long will it be that i am wthout energy? I have seen tons of yuou tube videos abd have heard pretty much very positive things about this surgery. My doctor told me he would recommend this one vs the lap band or gastric bypass if it were his family members getting the surgery.

betterthanbefore 19 Posted March 27, 2012 Just got done with endoscopy...it was a piece of cake. The iv hurt the most. They put me out completely for the procedure. I came out good. I had a hernia, which he will fix. I typed in "gastric sleeve" on you tube and a bunch of testimonials come out. My favorite are by user "gastricsleevereview"
D1NOnlySexyLady 70 Posted March 27, 2012 How long was the procedure? Would you have been able to go to work after or did you need to rest? And thanks for the link for you tube will definitely be looking it up
betterthanbefore 19 Posted March 27, 2012 I went in at seven am...they prepared me and took me in at 930. I was out by 1030 from the hospital. The actual procedure only took about 15 minutes. The doctor went over with me the results right away.
D1NOnlySexyLady 70 Posted March 27, 2012 Wow that's great. Did they have the results for the biopsy aswell? Do you get a copy? Do they fax it the same day to your surgeon?

betterthanbefore 19 Posted March 27, 2012 Yes...the very first step was too get a one on one with him. He told me all about the 3 surgery options..he gave me info and websites to find more info..then i scheduled a second appt with him and my husband...now are the exams to confirm i am a candidate dor the surgery. I have already visited my pcp and she has signed off on the surgery. She is ok with it and she did a cbc (cell blood count) and an ekg to monitor my heart.
