I'm looking through the topics today, and it seems like a lot of people are having some tough days lately. I thought maybe we all could take a moment to look at the happiness that our sleeve's have brought us. For me, my energy is through the roof. Well maybe not right at this instant, but I can sustain energy much longer and do SO much more on the weekends.

How about you? Share something that has made you so proud of yourself lately?

This weekend I went to the beach and was able to chase my toddler all over without feeling like a beached whale! Oh, and I'm rocking my maternity suite since I refuse to buy a new one until I hit onderland, and it doesn't look like I'm pregnant anymore! For the first time since I got pregnant (2010) my boobs stick out further than my belly again!

I got into a pair of sz 10 pants that have been hanging in my closet for 2 yrs and I maybe wore them 3 times before I out grew them last time that may seem small but I'm only 5' so I would like to eventually be in a 4-6. I am weighing less now than I have weighed in years. I have lost 30 since I began the vsg journey and 21 since surgery which was 7 weeks ago today. This morning I was 173 goal is about 135.

I also recently pulled a couple pairs of jeans out of the back of my closet and was able to button and zip them!

That's great Lilee84 and mommy794!! Doesn't it feel awesome! Lilee, I totally understand about the energy and being able to run around with the little ones. And I am very jealous that you were at the beach!! That's my favorite place to be, even though I live in upstate NY!

And mommy794, I hear you about the jeans!! I just want to fit into the 14's I bought. Give yourself a pat on the back for getting into 10's!!! Woohoo! See, it was worth hanging onto them right!! I have a pair, size 10, that I have kept since college 10 years ago just because one day, I WILL fit into them again!!

Thanks for posting!

Dooter, isn't that awesome??!! I did the same thing with a pair of work pants. Its like there should be music playing and a choir singing 'allalujah!" SUCH a great feeling!! Keep it up!

scale finally budged again and things must be really shifting because I'm officially down into 18s & 1X tops. I don't like tight pants and my mom always jokes that I wear everything at least a size too big. I've put all my size 20 pants into the donation pile because they are starting to look silly on me.

I do need to work this a little harder. I'm not exercising like I know I should - sort of hit and miss with it. I need a little jump start with my meal planning!

Congrats everybody!! I think this is a good idea, i've noticed that a lot of people seems down recently as well. My most recent NSV was this weekend. I went to my old school and I saw a few people who haven't seen me since before I lost any weight (down 105 now) and they didn't recognize me! That was pretty cool for me :)

A much needed topic!

Not bad for recent NSVs;

*I did my first fun run yesterday

* I bought, and fit in a pair of uk 10 (us size 6) jeans - ok so they are stretchy ones, but still...

* My neighbor of 9 years saw me at a work do, and after talking for 10 minutes finally realised who I was (her mum tells me she got home and asked " what happened to Claire???") lol

* My DH and I had a major fall out yesterday (not good), about a female colleague of his who stalks after him Grr, HOWEVER when we calmed down enough to talk, he apologised, and said he thought I'd know she could never mean anything to me, because he has never looked at anyone else, and thought I might believe in myself now I have achieved such a personal transformation!

*I have a photo of my daughter and I, in which I look THIN, seriously, wtf? Not even average, thin!

Never expected that in a million years!!

I totally <3 my sleeve xx

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
