I agree with Dooter. Double check that you aren't getting hidden sugars' date=' they can send you right to the bathroom!

As for the hunger, I find that upping the Protein shakes works to get rid of the hunger. I should probably be eating more regular food by this point but most of the time I don't feel like it. I eat regular food every day but am still drinking shakes.[/quote']

I will try more shakes to try to get my food in... The food I have right now is strictly protein... I cant drink anything but watet because I hate the sweet taste.

Im 6 weeks today... I am losing really good so I guess I cant complain. But I agree with you it can be hard to get in meals.

Yeah, I feel the same way, especially after reading posts by people who are barely losing or who are stalled forever. I know it can happen at any point, but as long at the scale keeps moving downwards and I'm feeling good, I'm not going to run to change anything. Well, I wish you a continued and continual terrific weight loss!

When I let myself get that hungry I tend to fill up fast and then I don't feel very good for 1/2 to 1 hour, does that happen when you let your self get hungry hungry?

OH YA!! That's happened to me on a few occasions!

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
