Texas Girl 0 Posted March 26, 2012 So I've been reading these boards for awhile...just now decided to register and be a part of it! My surgery date is THIS Friday....I'm freaking out a little bit! I've had SO many questions answered on here, but one thing I'm unsure of as I've read conflicting things....is caffeine a yes or a no after surgery? Just wondering if I need to prepare myself for no morning coffee anymore! Any other advice or quick tips would be appreciated....LOVE these boards!!
prple 0 Posted March 26, 2012 My doctor has asked me to cut it out now prior and he said I wouldn't be allowed afterwards.... His reasoning is that after the caffeine pick me up... Your blood sugar drops and hunger ... Ie snacking would occur.... Good luck with surgery...
MoogleQueen 4 Posted March 26, 2012 Congrats & good luck. MIne is scheduled for tuesday (so excited) My doctor told me no caffine the reason being we will be working so hard to stay hydrated & caffine is a diuretic which means it makes you lose Water quicker. Hope that helps.
