AutumnPunkin 313 Posted March 25, 2012 Hello all. As you guessed , that is my height and weight. I am waiting to hear back regarding my wls consultation and wanted to know how someone is similar shoes is doing? Tough parameters and the chances are slim but it is easier for me to relate to. Love all the stories and info from anyone in general. You are all such an inspiration!! 1 FinallyWhit76 reacted to this

Kiki Von Moonshine 53 Posted March 25, 2012 I'm 281 today. When I was interested in wls I was around 292. I'm 5'6. I was 300 in August. I plan on getting a bike soon so I can be active and work out. My goal is to lose at least twenty prior to my surgery in July.
Slim by Sleeve 17 Posted March 25, 2012 I was 308lbs and 5'4" when I had surgery on October 8, 2010. The surgery was a breeze and I am right where I want to be now 17 months later! I got down to 168 pounds then got a SURPRISE positive pregnancy test!! My DH and I are thrilled and I'm now 5 months preggo!! My OBGYN did several blood tests/ultrasounds and discovered I no longer fit the criteria for PCOS! My blood pressure is staying at 80/55 (used to be 150/95) and i feel super healthy now! I have gained only 8 lbs during pregnancy which my OB is fine with as long as my choices are healthy and are at least 1800 calories a day. It's a struggle sometimes but the health of the baby is more important than anything!! Before pregnancy I was walking about 10 miles per week and doing Zumba 2x per week! Zumba was my go to exercise as it is a blast and works your butt off!! Can't wait to get back to it!! Good luck with your journey!! Hopefully your road takes you exactly where you want to go also!! 3 1 Cabingirl, panda, MikeThaBull and 1 other reacted to this

melinhart 0 Posted March 26, 2012 I am 5'5" and weighed 311 the morning of my WLS. It will be four weeks this coming Tuesday and I am weighing 292, and seem stuck right there. I am on soft foods, and I think I should be losing more, but maybe not. I had WLS because of my osteoarthritis in my right hip. Pre WLS, the more weight I gained, the less mobility with my hip. After WLS, I am still mobility challenged which is causing issues with me exercising like I should, and maybe the reason why I am not losing weight like I think I should. although I do some walking, Maybe I am just being impatient? I also don't think I am eating very well. I am eating things off the list I was given by the doctor, and paying attention to when I feel full and stopping. I had some really crazy food thoughts four days after wls which did not/could not act on, but those have subsided considerably and I am adjusting. I had NO complications/adversities/problems with wls so far. I am happy about that. I actually felt good, better than I have felt in a long time. Any advice from anyone about your first six weeks of new life? Please send my way. Thank you.

Marykatherine 38 Posted January 5, 2014 It is 23 months from surgery. I've gained20 lbs. started at 320 down to 260. Still on this whole I'm a winner at losing. I feel a bit discouraged but I am still a loser. My health has increased. Mobility has increased. Objectively I am doing good. Let's keep it at that. At least in my mind. Still open to discussion, though. 1 CrazyJaney reacted to this
