2012weight 1 Posted March 23, 2012 have you contact with your doctor? If it is a stall, it will work out soon. if you lost some weight pre op, your body may resist not to loose.. however check with your doctor.
emily_0192010 168 Posted March 23, 2012 STOP!! You are in the 3rd week This is classic stall time. Almost EVERYBODY hits a stall at this time. It can last a week or a couple weeks, but this is completely normal, I promise! It is just your body's way of getting over the trauma of the surgery and the drastic change. You will hit stalls as you go along and they are normal. Are you weighing in every day? Because if you are, this might not even be a "gain"... our bodies fluctuate a LOT day to day. Weighing every day can be crushing because you keep thinking you are gaining when you're not. While you are in a stall this is what you do... keep up on your Protein and your Water, keep your treats small... and go on with your life. Your sleeve has NOT failed you and you have not failed your sleeve. Congrats on being sleeved and ((hug)) it will get better. 2 THYCK747 and jwelk reacted to this
Crystal Woods 193 Posted March 23, 2012 I don't know if it will make you feel any better or not but I have shown a 1 lb gain and then stall for 4 days now. I am 22 days out from surgery and it sucks but it will keep going. I would try not weighing for a week. I have to weigh everyday because of Fluid retention and some heart problems... Good Luck. Dooter 1,457 Posted March 23, 2012 My stall just broke yesterday after 2 1/2 weeks! I thought I was going to go insane! It IS perfectly normal. Your body is going through a normal process. Search for "stalls" on this website, and you will find some good explanations. Just keep doing what you're doing and try to stay off the scale for a while. i know it's hard. You are still losing, and you will see it in your clothes, face and waistline if not on the scales. I now fit into a pair of pants I did not fit into 2 weeks ago, and that happened during the stall, so have heart! 1 jwelk reacted to this
Nomadgirl 37 Posted March 23, 2012 I am 3 weeks today and on Tuesday of this week, I gained 2 pounds!! Overnight last night I lost 5 pounds! I can't explain what my body is doing, but I accept it and the math- calorie deficit will lead to a loss.
