Can You Take Tylenal (Sp?) Before Surgery?

I have a headache and want to take a tylenal and just don't know if I can or not. Hoping someone knows, thanks....

I was told not to take tylenol preop. Sorry. Try calling ur surgeons on call service if they arent there they will know

Thanks for your replies, I suffered through without the tylenol because I figured it might be like aspirin which thins your blood, which isn't good before surgery...

Tylenol doesn't thin your blood the way that Advil or other NSAIDs can but I would check with your doctor first.

I was told Tylenol was ok, but no ibuprofen (Advil, Aleve) or any fish oils.

I was told tylenol was ok ay also,but no nsaids like alleve, advil, motrin etc

I was told by the doctor to stop the tylenol 1 week before surgery. I thought I could so I called and asked. Wonder whyit differs with the different doctors.
