Joyfulone1 6 Posted March 22, 2012 I have been exercising (brisk walking and strength training) since 2 weeks post op. On Monday I began running. I ran for 2 miles and upped my reps and amount of weight for my strength training. On Tuesday I was so sore I could hardly move. I also gained 3 pounds! After the initial freaking out, I scoured the web and learned that sore muscles actually retain Water to help with the healing. So I'm feeling quite certain that within a few days I will lose the water weight and possibly a few more lbs for good measure. Hopefully this information is useful for someone else. I didn't know this at all Might actually be part of the reason why i'm in a stall right now, I recently started doing at-home exercises (yoga video, crunches, push ups etc) and I stopped losing lol.
