Mari Graves 3 Posted March 22, 2012 Recently I had a little fall off..I've lost a total of 50lbs since Dec. 14th which is the day I was sleeved. That is the good thing, well as of the last 2 days I've had sort of a back slide, I stopped working out and I ate crazy, I had a donuts and a few sips of soda, I feel horrible, I ate a twinkie, popcorn with butter , a beef pattie, and 4 Cookies. I couldn't stop for some reason, I need to get back into the gym. I think I've been so depressed about the slow weight loss that I trashed myself. BUt yesterday I went to a bike night at a local bar with my husband and saw a girl I used to hang out with who is like 100lbs, and a trainer and she said OMG you look amazing have you lost like 50lbs, and I was like yes how did you know? She was like you look great I can tell...I know it's shallow but it's what I needed to wake up and get back to where I was. So I'm back to the gym today back to my drinking Water and diet tea and eating my chicken salads and healthy food... 2 mocha and racheal218 reacted to this
Ms skinniness 3,003 Posted March 22, 2012 It's time to get off the pitty wagon. Time to do a reality check. How long did it take you to put on all that excess weight you have? Is it really possible to loose all that weight like over night? And WOW, you just said you had lost 50 lbs! That is fantastic. When you fell off the wagon, you reverted to past behaviors that sabotaged your weight lost. Now get back on the wagon, recognize how you sabotaged your diet, be kind to your self and your body, and choose to make healthier choices. You can do this, after all, you have lost 50 lbs and look fantastic! This is the hardest journey you will ever take, so sit back, read more posts on stalls, and perhaps find yourself a therapist that can help you stay on course. You can do this, you've already done quite a lot to begin with. You have what it takes to make healthier choices. BIG CYBER HUGS! 1 windycitymom reacted to this

KatieOkieDokie 171 Posted March 22, 2012 No one said you wouldn't fall off the wagon, you are human after all! We are all going to have days when we struggle, and want to give in to temptations! I like to think that those who are sleeved has two tools they have to work with, their sleeve, and their brain, and they are not connected (well at least it seems they are not lol). A big part of our journey is psychological, it's not just physical! We are going to have days when we are down, or bored and just want to go back to the old ways. That's when staying focused and remembering why we did this is the first is so important! Keep track of our goals, and if we fall off the wagon, we have to pull ourselves up and get back on the wagon, but not beat ourselves up in the process, because that usually makes things worse! If we go too far and feel we can't get back on, that's when we turn to each other, rely on each other, and loved ones to help us!

Mari Graves 3 Posted March 24, 2012 Thanks for the help, I had a bad week, from a death in our family to just being overworked and tired and not properly taking care of myself. It's hard when there is so much temptation but I have a plan now and I'm focusing, I just need to find healthier Snacks, lately I've been so hungry and unfortunately the throwing up is back where I can't keep anything down again which is so annoying.... Mari Graves 3 Posted March 25, 2012 I'm trying, all I keep doing is looking at my goal weight and the fact that after 10 years of trying to have a baby we might finally be able to achieve that goal if the weight keeps coming off.... 1 racheal218 reacted to this
