I regret not doing it sooner. Easily one of the best decisions of my life.

Yep, what swimmer said, and what an overwhelming majority of us here will say - the only regret is not doing it years ago.

Same as all the others. Wish I would have done it sooner, but never even heard about it.

todays weight 205

that is -55

half way mark 55 to target

Sleeved 2/6, 30-something lbs down, had so many complications that I spent almost the entire month of Feb in the hospital. I regretted it then. Now that I feel great, have energy, and can eat like a normal skinny person I wouldn't change it for the world.

I am 3 weeks post - op today. I have struggled a bit but there is so much impowerment in not feeling hungry all the time and knowing I have control over what I eat and how much. I don't regret it at all! :)

Sometimes I regret not being able to sooth myself with stuffing myself with food, but that is just the addict in me talking. I am happy I made the decision. It was hard, it still is, but it gets better everyday. Im guessing I will feel a WHOLE lot better once I make it to my goal weight. ;)

Only regret is that this surgery wasn't available to me years ago.

I'm a little over two months and a week post-op

Troy Lamar (Love that name LOL!)

No complications.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
