hi,

whey Protein which is lactose free and all milk gives me the craziest reaction.I start with a headache like a stress headache radiating from my shoulders to my eyes, then I get unbelievably tired as if I havent slept for weeks and I just feel sick. This really lasts for at least 2-3 hours.

My conclution is that any milk related product gives me the &@£$¥€#. (dont know what to call it...lol)

Which protein other kind of protein can I use instead of this?Should I try soy protein?

Thanks for the help ..again!

Check out Unjury and see if their ingredients would effect you that way. They make a chicken broth powder that is really good.

Hi,I live in Dubai and the stuff we can find here is quite limited.Unjury is not available.

I was thinking. Why cant I liquidize something like salmon (20g Protein per 3oz) and drink that with some broth as a Soup?It would be easier to get the Protein in that way as it is the food as well.Since yeasterday I was worried as I can drink a whole 200 ml cup of very liquid Soup in about 20 minuteS which I dont know is it to much or what.

My dr's plan says stuff ust now have the consistency of a smooth past without any food pieces in it.

I can do protein the natural way if allowed.I am only seeing the dr on saturday...maybe the nutritioniast as well but that is still too long.

Anyone out there know if this is doable at all?

Thanks

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
