This morning I was feeling great. At 11::00 I started having this pain in my left side that is in the front and in my back.

Nothing is helping for this to go away.I have walked, sat, slept drank, stayed dry...nothing is helping.

What one earth can this be?

How far out from surgery are you? Is it near an incision? Is it coming from your actual stomach? Did you have a hernia repair? Does movement make it worse? Does it hurt when you're still? Did it start after you ate something? These are all possible factors...

If u are not far from surgery it cld be a muscle. My doctor said back pain is common because the muscle they cut through starts deep, near the back. So when patients start moving around more at 2 wks they get a lot of side and back pain.

She said she gets so many calls bc people swear they have a kidney infection. Bingo that's what I thought too!

Hi,thanks for the input. It does feel like it is in my left kidney area and close to my left incision. It started after I had one of my Protein drink induced headaches.I went back to bed today for first time after surgery to have a nap. When I got up I had this pain.

Can certainly be normal recovery.

Hmm. I did have pain near my main incision, but i also had a hernia repair which hurts there too. Check your temperature. Make sure it's not over 101. If it is too concerning, it wouldn't hurt to give your surgeon's office a call just to confirm that it may be a normal pain.
