Are Mashed Potatoes Made Really Runny Considered A Full Fluid?

I am looking for things to eat....tired of Soups. What do you think? If I make them really runny can I consider them a Fluid?

Just went to nutrition class yesterday. Preop we cannot have thinned mashers but postop they are allowed in full liquid diet. They said to use the box type because those are easier to thin than regular. Hope this helps.
