I know you both will do great tomorrow. I can't find the post somoeone dud about what did you do the last day before your surgery...well I flew to Mexico, checked in to the hotel and ate some broth in a Mexican restaraunt. Then watched the only English tv channel the hospital offered. :)

I don't know, I think by the time you get to the day before you are just so READY to be done and have had your surgery so you can get started. You will both be great, and I hope you are both having a great day. I will be sending lots of prayers and positive thoughts tomorrow!

Okay 3/22's - where are you? How's everyone feeling? This is the first day I've felt like doing anything. Surgery went well, I was home Friday evening. Today's the first day I haven't felt nauseaus. I keep experiencing acid reflux, but am coping okay. Would like to hear from everyone else! Hope your all doing well.

Hey ChaCha, I still get lost on this site but thanks for reaching out.

I'm doing well. In fact I'm in shock of how amazing I feel I've been scared to say anything. I don't want to jinks myself. I feel good, lost of energy, not hungry at all. I must admit the night after surgery was a nightmare. Lord have mercy I was throwing up, gas was off the chart. yeah, the first 24hrs was a bumer. These last few days has been a blessing !!!! When are you going to weight yourself? I'm trying to weight until 7 days out. I'm just so excited

I am sorry you had such a rough 24 hours....my first 24 hours were ok besides my sister harassing me to get up and walk around! I haven't thrown up at all, fortunately. I am glad to hear you are feeling so much better!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
