I received the invite and joined! This is great! Thank you for creating it. I have the ipad app and the invite was under my "conversations" tab. It gave me the link to join and brought me to the forum which I then joined to follow.

Oh great, I'm so glad!! I was worried because I couldn't resend the invite. Phew!!

Hi everybody just wondering how everybody is doing. I'm doing ok. The Protein shakes are ruff sometimes. I had mine done April 10th. Down 30 lbs!!!!

Wow, good for you!! Congrats on your success! I'm doing very well. Feel back to myself and 0% pain. I was sleeved on April 4 and down 24 lbs since preop diet. I am on puree/soft food right now. Trying to get my Protein in with foods, but it doesn't work. So, I need to drink one shake a day. Trying to experiment with the shakes to mix it up a bit.

That's great Atkins. I'm down about 20. I feel almost myself, just tired.

Good for you! I too was extremely tired with no energy. I was beginning to get a bit worried, then one day I woke up and

it was back. I still get tired more easy, but that will work itself out eventually.

Down 19 lbs since preop diet. Sleeved April 3rd. Get tired really easy but still on liquids until the 3 week mark. Ready to get some food. Totally sick of strained shakes and soups!!! :)

Wow, you are still on liquids . . . I have never heard of three week liquid diet post-op. Almost there . . . what foods do you move onto next?

Hello everyone, I was sleeved yesterday and all I want to do is sleep. First two days have been rough. I feel if they remove the catheter and drain tube I would be able to move better! Good news is I passed the leak test. I'm very weak and they been giving extra fluids. Please send extra prayers up for me.

That's all I wanted to do. They kept pushing fluids on me because my BP was low. It will get better soon! If you get home and have gained weight it's just fluid!! I gained 9 the day I left and 8 was gone within 2 days. Welcome to the loser's bench!!

Congrats, Fanny! I hated the catheter, and when they removed it, I felt like a new person. Good luck and best wishes to recover quickly!

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Had a sleeve in 2017, lost over 100 pounds. Had a DS surgery this year (2025) for more sustainable weight loss. 🤞

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
