D1NOnlySexyLady 70 Posted March 20, 2012 Hey everyone I will be meeting with my surgeon on Wednesday, and hopefully I will be getting my surgery date aswell. So I would like to know what questions should I be asking.
Liberated Sleeve 148 Posted March 20, 2012 What size "bougie" he uses (if you are interested in knowing that)? What you should expect to feel like right after surgery, gas, etc.? How many leak tests does he do and when does he do them? How many of this type surgery has he done? Okay, just a few that I asked mine....I am sure others will give you more ideas

Stacey Nicole 40 Posted March 20, 2012 A Bougie is a tube that is placed down your throat and into your stomach during surgery. The surgeon then staples/cuts your new stomach right to that tube - its used for measuring and not eyeballing your sleeve size. A 32 is the smallest. Will you have a catheter? I did for one night and was glad to not have to get up since your so pumped full of liquids during surgery! How does the surgeon close your incisions? I have glue right now and that's been great. I've heard of people having staples Pre-op and post-op diets.....every surgeon has diff guidelines. That's just a few and I asked them all as well!! Good luck!
