Come On July! Question..

Recommended Posts

This is taking forever!!!! I want my surgery already. Lol.

Okay, so I've been getting all my appointments out of the way. On the paper that I was given it states that my pre-op testing ( blood work, EKG, and chest xray) should be done within 3 weeks of my surgery date. When I'm done with the that I contact my doctor for my letter of medical clearance 2 weeks prior to my date. After all of that I make a final appointment to see my surgeon 1-2 weeks prior to the surgery date for my preop visit including instructions and prescriptions. So when I called and asked the secretary of my surgeon when I would get a date she said after all of my testing. Does that make any sense? How can I make an appointment for the pre-op testing unless I know the date. I don't know if having those tests done too early would make a difference.

My final month of weight management is July, so I would make a PCP appointment for the first of July. I plan to make an appointment for the pre-op testing the first week in July just in case I don't hear from the surgeon's secretary prior to this. She did tell me that my surgery should be in July.. Hmm.. I haven't really fussed because it's still early, but I do like to get everything out of the way if I can and when I have a sitter.

I remember going through this and my doctor told me that the testing like EKG, ultrasound, and some lab work are good for about 3 months so my suggestion to you is get all those lab done last month of your weigh in

Are what three separate days? Why do you need a sitter for X-ray?

The preop testing. When making an appointment, and I call and to make an appointment will it be separate appointments or three tests in one appointment. When dealing with radiation no children are allowed.

Oh ok didn't know you had children. Anyways what I would do is schedule three appointments in one day
