katyb 36 Posted March 16, 2012 In the liquids stage, is there a way to get your Protein in without drinking those vile Protein Shakes? I literally threw up because one was so disgusting. I find myself just drinking Water instead of protein shakes, so if nothing else, I'm hydrated.
Liliana Arleen 173 Posted March 16, 2012 How many Protein Shakes have you tried so far? It took a while to find one that Ilike in my Pre op liquid diet, I was using unflavored Protein Powder from GNC whey Protein and I blended 1 scoop with 6 oz of Water and , favorite flavor of crystal light, 6 ice cubes and it was really good kind of like an icee, you can't hardly taste the protein there. Also if you like fruity flavors, try nectar by Syntrax. They have so many yummy flavors, I been using the kiwi strawberry one
katyb 36 Posted March 16, 2012 I've tried what seems like every single one. The only one I can tolerate is Syntha 6 pb and chocolate. I'm gonna have to try some plain whey.
Lissa 2,631 Posted March 16, 2012 I recently started using my Protein powder in my Decaf coffee instead of Creamer. I really like the flavor and two cups of coffee gets me 30 grams of protein. Nice benefit, IMO.
renogirl 11 Posted March 16, 2012 www.mybariatricpantry.com My staples still include the hot chocolate at 15 grams of Protein (I drink 2/day) , the nectar sweets capucchino latte Protein powder mixed with ice coffee (23 grams of protein) and the maple brown sugar oatmeal (either 13 or 15 grams of protein) There are lots more products on their website, great prices and outstanding customer service. Hope this helps!

Does the protein clump up from being added to a hot beverage? www.mybariatricpantry.com My staples still include the hot chocolate at 15 grams of protein (I drink 2/day) , the nectar sweets capucchino latte protein powder mixed with ice coffee (23 grams of protein) and the maple brown sugar oatmeal (either 13 or 15 grams of protein) There are lots more products on their website, great prices and outstanding customer service. SusieQs 4 Posted March 17, 2012 I've been told the Protein does clump when added to hot liquid, so you mix it with a little Water first, then add to your hot drink. Hope that helps.
