3 Months Down- How I Feel, Pictures, And Video

Recommended Posts

Hi, All Its been 3 months now and the time is zooming by. I have been eating normal food no for sometime. Basically I do not eat bread products as it fills me up tooo fast and leaves me feeling BLAH.. I will have an slice of pizza somtimes but do not eat the crust.

meat is my best friend. It feels the best going down ( especially beef, like steak )... If I had a choice on what to eat every meal I would grab the meat first!!!...

I can eat fresh veggies and stuff but if it doesnt chew down to a mushy consistancy then i dont eat very much of it at all. I do have an occasional soda once in awhile but never with food because the bubbles come out to burp but food gets caught above it and I almost throw up everytime i try to burp...lol ewwww.

Anyhoo, I have lost 65 pounds so far and feeling pretty good! I have days were i still feel FAT but its a mind thing and I know I have a long ways to go but I always remind myself where i came from as well.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
